ediblespringcover09_260My new favorite food magazine is Edible Green Mountains.

Filled with beautiful images and interesting articles about local Vermont growers, retailers, chefs, and food artisans, Edible Green Mountains is a feast for the eyes with plenty of food for thought! You can pick up a hard copy at local Vermont natural foods markets, coffee shops, specialty stores, and restaurants. If you don't live in Vermont, visit the magazine online and consider subscribing.

Edible Green Mountains celebrates local, sustainable, seasonal, authentic foods and culinary traditions.  The Spring 2009 issue includes an article on composting, an essay on asparagus, and a profile of the Vermont Butter and Cheese Company along with plenty of spring recipes so that you can eat locally and enjoy the green shoots of the season.

And, by the way, it was a book review in Edible Green Mountains that led me to purchase my newly beloved "The Garden Primer" by Barbara Damrosch. Good stuff! dots
